A top Palestinian Authority official told WND that the PA reached an understanding with the Obama administration regarding a Palestinian threat to unilaterally ask the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian state outside of negotiations with Israel.

Ahmed Qurei, former PA prime minister and member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization executive committee, said in an interview that the PA "reached an understanding with important elements within the administration" to possibly bring to the U.N. Security Council a resolution to unilaterally create a Palestinian state.

So apparently unilaterally doing something is only bad if the US does it, but if it is a terrorist sponsoring state adjacent to what use to be our strongest ally in the Mideast, then it's ok. Got it.

No Mrs. Secretary, Arab support for Israel against Iran does not go hand in hand with Israeli participation in Palestinian peace talks, are you mad? There isn't one Arab country that on some level doesn't want Israel to wither and die. The only reason they want Israel at the negotiation table is so they can stall longer. The Palestinians, strike that, the leaders of the Palestinians don't want a two state solution, they want a one state, their own state, with the disappearance of Israel. At the Oslo accords a Palestinian state was handed to them on a silver platter and Arafat turned it down. Why? Because the plan involved the continued existence of Israel. If they wanted peace, we would have had it by now, Israel has offered up dozens of different concessions of the years except for the one that Arabs want. Therefore, we will continue to have Middle East turmoil until one side is eradicated.

It's curious to me that our society has "progressed" to the point where a self-proclaimed global, bipartisan agency would deliberately seek out transgressions of the supposed good guys while completely ignoring the transgression of obvious evil. When you have an elite military that has explicit, published rules on how their soldiers should conduct themselves in a lawful manner, I feel that any transgressions warrants the benefit of the doubt that it is an exception to the rule. On the other hand, you have a band of militants that also have explicit, published, and continuously demonstrated rules of conduct that are not so lawful. When one chooses to focus on the viewpoint of one and not the other, thereby implying that each are held to different standards, you forfeit your right to claim bipartisanship and elicit questions regarding your agenda. In addition, when your methods of so-called "verification" of claims is called into question...
