U.S. bill seeks to rescue faltering newspapers

Horrible idea, when is this going to stop? When is there going to be a "Tax Payer Bailout?" How about that Washington? Just because there is interest in a bill doesn't make it a good idea. Of course newspapers are going to be interested if it will keep them in business. Also, and more importantly was this:

"Under this arrangement, newspapers would still be free to report on all issues, including political campaigns. But they would be prohibited from making political endorsements."

If the day comes when newspapers cannot make political endorsements, we have lost our country.
